Whoops
The last couple of posts have been kinda random a la Hesam’s “link of the day” feature, so now i’ll get back to talking about me.
You may have noticed a temporary interruption to our regular broadcasting here the other day. It turns out that spammers were using my contact script to relay spam e-mails. I thought i’d taken measures to prevent that, as I was catching quite a few myself, but I guess there were lots getting through so the administrators of my webhost decided to suspend my account until I could sort it out… only I couldn’t sort it out BECAUSE my account was suspended. duh. Oh well… big thanks to Hesam for helping me get that sorted and get this show back on the road!
So as Hanne mentioned, her parents are over here visiting so that her mum can attend the Supreme Cat Show over at the NEC (which was today). While she was over there, Hanne, her father and I went to the opening of the German festival in the city centre, but it was too crowded to really walk around much so after a quick tour and a bite to eat we came back home. This evening we’ve been out to a really good Indian restaurant over in Sutton Coldfield, the name of which escapes me (I think that’s down to the red wine, which was a nice Spanish Rioja).
Last night I hit the town with a bunch of guys from work for a friend’s leaving party, which featured lots of beer, Nando’s chicken (mmm… peri-peri!), some (mostly crap) comedy at Jongleurs, and more beer. All in all: lots of fun!
Guess i’d better stop being so antisocial now and get back to being a good host.
PS No, I haven’t forgotten to take pictures of the house, but I can’t find the charger for my camera… doh! Stay tuned.
