While Hanne was pumping iron down at the gym today, I stumbled across The Face Transformer, a project from the School of Computer Science at the University of St. Andrews. The results, based on my original photo, can be found in the gallery

Yesterday Nikolai and I returned from a week of skiing in Italy, not too far from Turin (where the 2006 Winter Olympics have just kicked off). I’ll write a more extensive entry once Nikolai sends me the photos from his camera, but for now here’s a couple of videos from when I went skiing in January:
- Gaz on the slopes
- Dave on a jump
On a side note, there are some hilarious clips on Google Video!

The Euro Lottery has rolled over several weeks in a row, bringing tonights grand-prize jackpot to a record £125 million!! All i’ve heard anyone talking in the Spar downstairs is what they’re going to do when the win tonight. Surely with the amount of publicity that has been generated and the thousands of extra tickets that have been bought “just in case” by non-regular players means that there’s bound to be at least a couple of winners of the main prize tonight, meaning the actual amount won will “only” be a fraction of £125,000,000… not that I’d complain if I won, mind.
For arguments sake, let’s say only one person won the main prize. If you then stuck that in a bank account with, say, 4.5% interest p.a. then that’s an income of £5,625,500 a year (before tax) JUST on the interest! That’s ridiculous! And that interest rate isn’t particularly high, either! I don’t even know what I’d do with myself if I won. With most of my life still ahead of me (touch wood), I would think I could get bored of just sitting around basking in wealth. But then again, i’m sure I could get used to it…
