Today I finally got around to taking the Sun Certified Java Programmer exam, and passed with 80%! It’s not quite an amazing score, but I’m happy with it. We restrict our programming to 1.4-compatible at work, as some customers use WebSphere 5.1 with the IBM Java 2 JDK, so I haven’t had any “real world” experience with some of the new features in Java 5. Fortunately my revision paid off, and I got through the Generics (IMHO the biggest new feature of Java 5) questions without any difficulty. Gooooooooooooooooooo Gaz!
Tangent: Hmm… the IBM website makes no mention of a Java 5 implementation, however there is an “early release” version of Java 6. I guess they just decided to skip a version?

Congrats to you too then, mate! Where’ve you been hiding, anyway? Where’s the “bi-annual update” on your blog???
Everything else is “business as usual” around here, ta. How about with you?

Why don’t you celebrate by coming here?

I’ve been studying and working a lot. And as usual I’ve been pretty bad with e-mails and updates in general :S I’ll get on a plane to Houston on the 24th, so x-mas eve should prove to be interesting… zzzzzz
Give my best to Hanne and your fam. And of course: Merry Christmas!!
